Growing marijuana at home could be in the near future for West Virginia medical marijuana card holders!
If you’re looking to get your card, we are here to help! All you have to do is have a qualifying medical condition, have proof of residency in the state and have an official written certification by a licensed physician. At West Virginia Marijuana Card, we can assist you every step of the way!
The West Virginia Medical Cannabis Advisory Board met virtually last week and discussed the possibility of allowing medical marijuana patients to grow their own plants! Right now there is no date on if and when this will be permitted.
The Board is considering allowing patients to grow their own products because dispensary prices are notoriously high. Some patients can get their medical marijuana card and not afford to get their medication every month. Allowing patients to grow their own medical marijuana can help solve this problem.
There is a slight concern that people will grow their own marijuana at home to sell it themselves. But the patient advocate for the Board believes this won’t be an issue and those who will pursue growing will be those who can't afford dispensary prices and those that are green thumb plant enthusiasts.
