West Virginia’s medical marijuana operator Mountaineer Holding was recently acquired by Trulieve Cannabis Corp. which includes a cultivation license and two dispensary permits.
Trulieve Cannabis Corp. (or Trulieve) is one of the leading cannabis companies in the nation. This $6 million deal would position the Florida-based company for vertical operations in the state. By adding Mountaineer to their portfolio, Trulieve is able to scale their business significantly. They hope to be fully operational by the end of this year!
Trulieve is a multi-state company that received four medical marijuana dispensary permits this year in West Virginia with other marijuana operators. They have also acquired three more dispensary permits by acquiring Solevo Wellness West which is based in Virginia last month.
